Boilers are one of the most fundamental systems in a refinery. These boilers are either Fire or water tube. The Steam produced by boilers will serve at least one of the following functions.

Fuel- Often the steam will be used to power turbines for electric generating, blowers and pumps.

Production- The steam will also play a role in the actual production of the product by sterilization or to achieve the processing temperatures needed for an aspect of production.

Climate- The steam may also be used to power the plants heating & Air Conditioning units to keep equipment at proper operating temperature’s.

So a boiler needs a portable combustion analyzer to check it’s emission to make sure that it is running at maximum efficiency.
